Hello everyone. I’ve found a website that I just had to share.

I’m sure many of you have heard about the small durable and economic laptops being supplied to children in developing nations. The organization’s goal is to provide one laptop for every child in developing nations. And they are demonstrating that when the ‘why’ is big enough, the ‘hows’ will take care of themselves.

During this holiday season they have a special promotion called ‘Give one, Get one’. From now until Dec 31st people in Canada and United States can give an XO laptop and get an XO laptop. As stated on their website, “For a donation of $399, one XO laptop will be sent to empower a child in a developing nation and one will be sent to the child in your life in recognition of your contribution. $200 of your donation is tax-deductible (your $399 donation minus the fair market value of the XO laptop you will be receiving)”.

Even if you don’t plan to buy one, it’s great to see what people can do when they combine their skills for a great cause. By giving these children access to information they can dream bigger and reach amazing results. I am so happy and grateful that these people have decided to make a life-changing difference for these children.

‘Crisis is a Blessing’

A quote from Dr. John Demartini states that ‘Wisdom is the instantaneous recognition that crisis is a blessing’.

This statement has allowed me to better control my perspective and vibration during growth opportunities. As the parent of a teenager, there are many little ‘blessings’ in my life. This phrase allowed me to remain balanced while I looked for the ‘blessing’ in each situation. After successfully finding the blessing repeatedly, this has now become an automatic reaction for me. So much of my time has been freed up by not wasting time on negative thoughts. Which means I spend more time focused on my goals.

I share this thought, hoping it will provide someone else the freedom and peace that I have found. If you want to know more, I recommend the book “The Breakthrough Experience” by Dr. John Demartini. “The Secret” and the Science of Getting Rich

Have you heard of the DVD called “the Secret”? Well it isn’t such a secret anymore. The DVD was released in March 2006 and according to Time Magazine, the DVD has sold 500,000 units within the first 6 months. Today it sells well over 5,000 copies a day! It ranked in Amazon’s Top-5 sellers during Christmas week; and a tie-in hardcover book just entered the Top 10 on the New York times bestseller list.

The amazing thing about “the Secret” is that you won’t find it in your local Blockbuster or Barnes and Noble, it is selling briskly through new-age bookstores, New Thought churches like Unity and AGape and the official website at www.thesecret.tv. “It’s become the biggest selling item in the 30-year history of our store,” says Harmony Rose Allor, a buyer at West Hollywood’s popular metaphysical bookshop, The Bodhi Tree. it is “word-of-mouth” marketing at it best.

So what is the secret to “the Secret’s” success? It’s is a “transformational movie”, where a person’s view on life and the laws of life will no longer be the same after watching this movie. Nothing is ever lost, it just changes form.

Recently my husband and I took a long, overnight flight home from a working vacation. At the baggage area we found that only 3 of our 4 bags had actually made the trip with us. The 3-hour time change, and our lack of sleep added to the frustration of filing a claim form. As I ran through the list of items potentially gone for good, I was becoming even more disappointed. Then I remembered something I had been told recently - ’nothing is ever lost, it just changes form’. So I regained my positive composure and decided to actively look for the items to return in their ‘new form’.

When we arrived at home, I entered our bedroom and found my closets overflowing with designer clothes and over a dozen pair of shoes. Apparently my (very stylish) aunt had dropped off bags of clothes while I was away and my sisters had put it all away for me. My new wardrobe is awesome, and larger than my original selection.

Having learned the lesson, the airline delivered our missing bag later that night.
